Sad News

I’m sure by now that all of you have seen the sad report on the evening
news.  It was announced yesterday that the Rose Garden at the White House was being torn out, in anticipation of a new Administration change.

It is being replaced by a watermelon patch.

Seriously? Are we still there?

Sad news, indeed.

It was a family affair at the horse show this weekend as we all came out to support my aunts, CC and Theresa.

I have another blog. I called it ToddleBits and it was going to be this fabulous place for parents of toddlers to come to for ideas and tips about raising their tots. Why did I start a blog about raising toddlers? Because that’s what I do….All. Day. Long.

It was fun at first and I totally dug the whole blogging thing. But, the thing was, at the end of the day, when it was time for some ME time, I was still all about the kiddos. This was fine for a while, but there were times when I wanted to just think about myself. Unfortunately, ToddleBits was not the place for that.

Which brings me to Chica Schmica. This is my place. My very own little corner of the world where I can feel free to selfishly dwell on things that matter to nobody but myself. I have no idea if anyone will find these pages or not, but I want to make a pact with myself right now to remember that this is MY place, and I will blog for ME. Not comments. Not stats. And not money (but if I change my mind about this one I won’t be the least bit offended if you call me a sell-out).
